Helpful Hints
Store your meat, cape and velvet antlers at 40 degrees or below to
prevent spoilage and hair slippage. Keep your cape DRY.
Double bag it in a trash bag if you are keeping it in an ice chest.
You don’t need to wash the blood off.
Cut your cape longer for pedestal mounts.
Small life size animals (bobcat/fox/coyote/etc.) should be frozen whole and not gutted.
